STAFF
PASTOR - Rev. Matthew Wald
Pastor Matthew is a graduate of The Fairless High School, Huntingdon College, and Methodist Theological School in Ohio. Besides his Master of Divinity he holds a Master of Arts in Christian Education. Matthew is the father of three adult daughters. He also is a very proud grandfather (ask to see pictures). He has served churches in Sylacauga, Alabama, Mount Gilead, Euclid, Hinckley, Wooster, Medina , and Dundee before coming to serve both Strasburg and Wilmot UMCs. Matthew enjoys reading mysteries, traveling and drinking coffee with friends.
OFFICE MANAGER - Alicia Cox
Alicia keeps our office and staff on track. Alicia is often the first person you hear when you call the church. In addition to her husband, Tyler, she also has two curious cats and a dog. She collects owls, loves sunflowers, and enjoys spending time with family and friends.
DIRECTOR OF MUSIC/ORGANIST - Becky Sewell
Among her many duties, Becky serves as organist, pianist, choir director, and probably more. Her God-given talent inspires us each service. Becky enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband and their children and grandchildren.
SONG LEADER - Darla Reding
Darla serves our church as the song leader. She was very helpful during the pandemic when congregations were told not to sing. Rather than hear the instrumental arrangement of a hymn, Darla added her voice for our online congregation and has continued her ministry each week. Darla's magnetic personality draws you in to experience God’s joy in her heart.
CUSTODIAN - Gary Garber
Gary has served as our custodian for several years. He is an active member of St. John UCC in Strasburg and tends to the upkeep at that church as well as ours. Gary always has something in his hand – a broom, the vacuum, a dust rag, weed eater, lawn mower, shovel, or a cup of coffee from the Cross Café across the street. Gary is also a member of a local band when not working.
MULTIMEDIA TECH- Alex Schott
Alex operates the audio and video portions of our Sunday morning services. While notably a quiet teenager, Alex is very knowledgeable on the technical demands of live-streaming as well as in-person needs each week. Still an active high school student, Alex, is involved in our youth fellowship and enjoys video games.
VIDEOGRAPHER - Tom Sewell
On Sunday Mornings, Tom operates the camera for livesteaming. Tom enjoys spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren.
